Checking the number and location of each smoke alarm in accordance with the relevant building code. If an alarm is not positioned correctly, the property is not compliant, and it will need to be relocated

All smoke alarm batteries are tested and replaced if required
The test button is pushed on each smoke alarm to ensure proper function
A decibel tester is used to ensure smoke alarms are over 75 decibels
